The Final Re Make Video

Video Stills

Within the video there are three different still images within an iPhone-like setting. This is via the camera therefore for these stills I produced the images from my own iPhone 4S. Instead of taking the image I printscreened the image so I still had the effects still on screen.

This is one of my images that is supposed to be taken in a tattoo parlour. We couldn't get to a tattoo parlour in time whilst having the full cast there, therefore we took this on a green screen and inserted the background afterwards.
This image is the cinema shot. We used props of 3D glasses and a sweet bag to recreate the scene of the cinema. Again we had no time to take an image in a cinema therefore we had to greenscreen the shot and we inserted the background afterwards.

How to create some of our Props!

In order for us to create some of our props we had to have physical copies of photographs for our model to hold and use . This took me two hours to fully create as we printed off photographs, backed them with white paper then card before cutting snippets of black card and sticking them to the back. We did this with double sided sticky tape as it was neater and thinner as glue. I took the images with my Canon 500D as this was high enough quality to substitute the college video cameras. I used my own camera for filming too as this way I was able to understand everything in my own way.  I created a blank 'Polaroid' image so that we could use this to put the videos inside them on the shots that we needed to. That way it was easier for us to create.

Creating the Video

Within filming we had a car scene to interpret however due to the car in the video being american we had to switch the camera angle whilst editing in order to make it look like it was a left hand drive!

This is me, Lauren with Jamie Cording and Katie Smith. Currently in a break from our hard work of filming!! Jamie features in our video as being a love interest to Katie and also Elle so let the war begin!

Throughout Filming

Throughout our schedule there were complications with the props and the cast members due to other commitments therefore the original cast roles changed. Kristina Lamb did not act as the second actress in the end, Elle Thresh did. This was a sudden change of plan as Kristina had other things to attend to. Me and Katie produced the video and edited the video together which then brings me to the brief from September. The brief in September is to produce a music video that will be in the style of one you have chosen to look at. In order to get the best out of my video I would want to work alone; then you don't have to prioritise the work between several people as we have learnt in the prep work of this term.

Camera and Video Training.

Due to the complication of making a music video we were advised to use one of the college video cameras that can record high definition. We were taught how to focus, record, connect the footage to the editing suites on both Mac and PC. This allowed us to then edit the videos as we wanted to.
In order to get the videos as close to the original as possible for our first task I and Katie Smith took the editing into our own hands and got a tutorial from our teacher on how to include the effect we have.
