Fonts

New Actress and Stage name for project. Due to Elle stepping in for my music video I had to re-evaluate the situation of what I am going to call my actress as a music icon and look at creating a new anciliary text idea. I decided to look on dafont.com for appropriate fonts to represent my actress as a singer. In my music videos she is seen as an innocent character, a girl in love with her school sweetheart. It wouldn't be appropriate to apply a harsh text to my anciliary whilst this representation is in place. Stereotypically she is seen as a princess character. One who shows the audience her dreams and desires therefore I need a feminine and delicate font to match this representation.

I chose the stage name Lily Tomlin, purely because of the flower. Lily's are delicate, light and attractive, a flower which is liked by many. I witnessed how they float ontop of water, moving only with wind. I pictured my actress and the way she ran with her flowing dress whilst I was filming, this reminded me of that moment seeing the flower hence my choice in the first name.

The second name, believe it or not came from watching MTV music channel on Sky. The One Direction singers appeared on screen whilst I was looking for inspiration for a charcter and I took Louis Tomlinson as inspiration. I thoought about how long the last name was and thought it would be more conventional to cut it down and create a catchy final name. Lily Tomlin isn't too long and has a small ring to it therefore I confirmed what I wanted my actress to be called.

The font I looked at I took from dafont.com, all authors and names of the fonts are above them in Red. I believe that I have chosen the fonts which do match my actress and singer the most. They are feminine yet assertive, not too girly to be able to lose the male audience. I think that one of these would be most appropriate for my final piece however I am going to have to experiment with them in order to do so.
